Simply be present for them
Allow them to talk about their feelings, struggles & memories
Help them feel respected & safe for all that comes up
Helpful things you can say:
• I’m so sorry
•. I’m here for you…anytime
•. How can I help?
•. Are there other emotions you are also feeling in addition to the grief?
You might be feeling pressure to say something to make them feel better, but best to avoid saying anything that takes away from their feelings of loss such as:
-At least…
-You should…
-You need to …
-Just give it time…
-Look on the bright side…
-Lots of people …
Simply allow them the full experience of their feelings in the present moment.
Show them that they are not alone and that you care by just showing up and listening with your heart.

Grief can surface throughout the end of life journey. Perhaps taking a moment to allow for these feelings along the way can help🌟
